Paid Traffic Should Not Hit a Dead End

A rider clicks an ad for a specific machine and lands on a homepage carousel. We walk the whole path — ad to model page to form to CRM record — and fix what is costing you appointments first.

The Problem

More traffic does not fix a broken path. If a shopper cannot find the unit, read the offer, or see an obvious next step, a bigger media budget only sends more people into the same dead end.

54% of dealership website traffic happens outside business hours. The shopper comparing a Street Glide against two other stores at 10:40 on a Tuesday night is making his short list right then. If nothing on the page catches him, he is gone by morning.

What we find most often

  • The unit page does not answer what the rider came to ask. The machine is listed and the price is on it. The questions that actually decide the sale — is it on the floor today, what does it cost out the door with freight and setup, will you take my trade, can I ride it Saturday — have no button, or they dump into a generic contact form that lands in an inbox nobody owns.
  • The ad promises a machine and the click delivers a homepage. Campaign traffic goes to the front door instead of the model family or the offer the ad was built around. The shopper has to re-find on your site what the ad already showed him. Most of them will not bother.
  • Tracking is wrong in a way that flatters everybody. Tags fire on form submissions but not on calls. Or they fire on page load instead of submit, so every bounce counts as a lead. Or the rotating call number never writes the source back into the CRM. The report comes out clean, and every budget decision after that is made on it.
  • Mobile breaks the part that matters. The call button works and the finance form does not. The inventory filter collapses on a phone. The hero image shoves the only CTA below the fold. Over half of dealership traffic is mobile, and a lot of it is one-handed in somebody's parking lot.
  • Nothing catches the shopper who is not ready to fill out a form yet. No retargeting audience built off unit views, no email capture, no lifecycle touch — or those exist inside a vendor tool and never write back to the CRM, so nobody in the store knows the guy came back three times this week.

What We Fix

  • Landing pages built per campaign, model family, and offer, so a Maverick ad lands on Maverick inventory and a demo-day ad lands on the demo-day page
  • Inventory merchandising — how new and used units are presented, photo count and order, what sits above the fold on a unit page, and which next-step button sits there with it
  • Conversion tracking — form events, call tracking, chat, and the source string that has to survive all the way into the CRM record instead of dying at the form handler
  • Follow-up for the shopper who did not submit — retargeting audiences built off unit and model-family views, email capture, and lifecycle triggers wired into the CRM rather than parked in a vendor tool
  • Mobile — call button behavior, how many fields the form asks for, filter usability, and where the CTA lands on a six-inch screen
  • CRM integration — routing off website forms, source accuracy on arrival, and follow-up that starts the same night the lead comes in

Train Your Team or Run It

  • Run it end-to-end. We own website strategy, conversion work, tracking, and landing pages inside the full operating system. We take the calls with your website provider so your GM does not spend Thursday on hold.
  • Strengthen your current website team. We audit, rank the fixes, and hand the list to your in-house or vendor team. Then we read the live site to confirm what actually shipped and watch whether the numbers moved.
  • Fill the tracking and attribution gap. Your team owns design and content. We rebuild the tracking, the source mapping, and the CRM handoff so the platform report and the CRM stop telling two different stories.

What Leadership Gets Back

  • A ranked conversion fix list: the 25-point audit ordered by what it should do to leads and appointments, not by what is easiest for the vendor to ticket
  • Tracking you can trust: forms, calls, chats, and online appointments counted once each, carrying the source that produced them
  • A monthly operating review: website conversion rate by source, landing page performance, and the pages where shoppers leave
  • A 90-day priority map: website work sequenced by impact on leads and appointments, with the provider dependencies named up front

Turn more traffic into calls, forms, and showroom visits.

The audit includes a full website conversion review: the unit pages, the landing pages behind your live campaigns, the tracking underneath them, and the path from a search to a booked appointment.

Questions, answered

Before we get to work.

No, and we do not replace your website provider. We stay inside your existing platform and work through your CMS vendor to get conversion fixes, tracking, landing pages, and merchandising changes deployed. We own the strategy and the follow-through. Their developers push the code.

The fixes that tend to move first — corrected tracking, campaign traffic pointed at the right page, a real next-step button on the unit page — are usually in place within the first 30 days of the activation phase, and movement often shows up in that window. No two stores get the same order of operations. The audit sets the scope and the sequence.

Most of them do ship analytics and conversion tools, and some of those tools are good. The open question is who logs in, who reads the numbers, and who acts on them between Monday and Friday. The audit documents what the platform can do, what is actually turned on, and the distance between the two.
